I enjoyed a very quick trip to Portland last week with my oldest granddaughters.  I decided to use the break between writing the book and getting it published to visit Portland with my grandkids for the very first time.  We had a such a good time, but not a minute was wasted, as we dashed from Powell’s Books to the Keller Fountain to jet boating on the Willamette.  And, that was just our one day in Portland!

Also on our Portland day, we met my brother, Corky, for lunch in downtown.  We all had fun and Corky kept us laughing with his stories.

After that, we had two more days to explore Northwest Oregon, with one day spent at Cannon Beach, and the last day in the Columbia Gorge.

Whew!  I am still catching my breath from our whirlwind of travel!  And, I am sorry that time was so tight that I had no time to visit with friends, so that is for my next, more leisurely Portland trip.

Now that I am back home, unpacked, and have taken a few naps, I am ready to get back to work…

Have a great Fourth of July!
